Most non-profit companies utilize the .org.  However, you do have some corporations who are not non-profits that also utilize them.  I recommend to my clients that have non-profits to use a .org.  Is is no mistaking that if most people see a .org is has been branded for non-profits if it was intentional or not. If you are a ministry, church organizations or club that is a non-profit, I would recommend you buy both domain extensions, .org and the .com.  If you have both extensions and you decide in the future not to be a non-profit, you can always switch over.

Today,  having a website is one of the most absolutes that every company needs.  When you are building your business plan a website should be included in all of your budgeting.  The first thing you need to is buy a domain name.  A domain name is what is used to identify you on the worldwide web.  You can have a .com, .org, .net.  Now they offer many different extensions.

Step 2.  You need to have a web hosting provider.  There a literally hundreds of web hosting providers out there.  Shop around compare rates and packages that they offer.

Step 3.  Get you a web designer,  a web designer will assist you in planning and creating your website.  If you think you may be able to do it yourself, select a web host who has templates available that you can customize.

Having a website is not and option it is an absolute!
